Revisiting Ideas

After creating a good amount of hand embroidery samples, I felt as if I was out of ideas and desperately needed something different from HTML graphs. Therefore, I went  back to my sketchbook for inspiration and ideas. I came across this page of hand-drawn graph patterns that I created earlier in the project which were full of exciting colours. My pressed straws collection is inspired by these patterns and colours.

From all the experiments of pressing straws onto fabrics, I found out that the joint of the straws create the best bumpy texture. I think the way to develop this sample further would be to incorporate hand/machine embroidery in order to create something of intrigue.
